pastorkevinRev. Armstrong is a native of Oakland, California. He grew up and attended Elementary, Junior High, and High School in Oakland. He graduated in 1984 from Far West High School in Oakland. He is the very proud husband of 16 years to Mrs. Mary Armstrong. They have 5 wonderful children:  Shana, William, Kevin, Jr., Precious, and Anthony.

Rev. Armstrong accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age, as he grew up in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Oakland, under the Pastorate of the late Dr. Arilee Hightower. At the age of 10, Rev. Armstrong began to take piano lessons, and soon began to play the organ. Rev. Armstrong was a very fast learner, and quickly became very skillful at both. He soon became a church musician for the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Rev. Armstrong was called by God to Preach the Gospel in 1989. He preached his first sermon and was licensed in August of 1989 by the late Dr. Arilee Hightower. Under the leadership of Dr. Hightower, Rev. Armstrong worked in various ministries in the church: Sunday School, Youth Bible Study, and the Men’s Ministry, while continuing to work with the Music Ministry.

In 1995, Rev. and Sis. Armstrong united with the New Bethel Baptist Church in Rodeo, California, where he served under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Lloyd Farr. Under the leadership of Rev. Farr, Rev. Armstrong worked diligently as a part of the Ministerial Staff, as Church Organist, Sunday School Teacher and Men’s Ministry Teacher. In 2000, Rev. Armstrong was ordained at the New Bethel Baptist Church by Rev. Dr. Lloyd Farr.

In 2000, Rev. Armstrong was called to Pastor the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Richmond, California, where he faithfully served for 1 year.

In 2002, Rev. Armstrong was called to Pastor the Grace Missionary Baptist Church of Vallejo, California, where he served for 10 years. Under the leadership of Pastor Armstrong, the ministry grew deeper and deeper in the word of God. Many ministries were birthed under Pastor Armstrong’s leadership, such as the Men’s Ministry and Women’s Ministry.

In June 2012, Rev. Armstrong was elected the Pastor of the King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church of Benicia, California, where he currently serves.

Pastor Armstrong has been blessed to preach at many revivals, and many souls have been reached through the preaching of the Word by Pastor Armstrong. Pastor Armstrong believes we must reach the lost by any means necessary.
